The Sunshine Coast is a coastal region located in South East Queensland, to the
north of Brisbane. The region is characterized by beautiful
beaches, expansive coastal views and rich fertile soils in the hinterland.
The Sunshine Coast is a centre for tourism, featuring: Steve Irwin’s Australia
Zoo (Beerwah), UnderWater World marine park (Mooloolaba), The Buderim Ginger
Factory, The Big Pineapple, Noosa Heads and Noosa National Park.
The region is also defined by the Glasshouse Mountains; a series of mountains
located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
The Coast begins at Caloundra, one hour’s drive north of Brisbane, and extends
to Cooloola, the gateway to Fraser Island.
The region includes more than 100km of beaches stretching through the coastal
towns of Caloundra, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum Beach, Noosa and
Rainbow Beach. It is a holiday mecca for both couples and
families.
The Sunshine Coast is the perfect mix of coast and country and the ideal place

The region has many Australian renowned beaches with surfing at Noosa Heads,
Alexandra Headland, Mooloolaba, Coolum and King’s beach in Caloundra.

other region in Queensland.
